Police vehicle attacked on Srinagar-Jammu highway

Militants tonight attacked a police team in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, the second such attack within 24 hours, a police official said here.
"Militants opened fire on police personnel near the Anantnag bus stand. The attackers were pushed back by the cops," the official said.
He said there was no loss of life in the incident and the area was cordoned off.
Earlier in the day, ultras fired at a police vehicle, which was on its way to Jammu from Srinagar, near Bonigam in Kulgam district, he said.
No one was injured in the attack.
