Milk parlour owner Divendra Rajput was nabbed when he was accepting the bribe, while assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Bharat Singh Tomar, who was present near the spot, was also arrested, Bhopal Lokayukta Superintendent of Police (SP) Birendra Singh told PTI.
"We are also going to arrest inspector Subodh Tomar, who is also involved in the case," Singh added.
He said inspector Subodh Tomar and ASI Bharat Singh Tomar, attached to Piplani police station had demanded a hefty bribe of Rs 2,50,000 from a contractor Vijay Shrivastava, against whom one Madan Balani had lodged a complaint with police.
"We received a complaint two days back following which a trap was laid and Rajput was caught taking the bribe on behalf of the two (police) officers," the officer said.
"All the three accused have been booked and action is being taken against them under Prevention of Corruption Act," Singh said.
