They said that a sword and items related to poll advertisement was seized during checking as part of drives to impose Model Code of Conduct after which the driver was arrested.
When asked, the police denied the presence of the BJP MLA during the seizure, saying the person on the driving seat of the vehicle was arrested as he could not furnish proper documents.
