powerloom town of Bhiwandi in the district was gutted in fire in the wee hours today.
The blaze broke out in Balaji Polyester Company at around 1:30 AM and at least eight fire engines from Ulhasnagar, Thane, Kalyan and surrounding areas were rushed to the spot.
The fire was put out completely around 8 AM, police said.
No one was injured in the mishap and the cause behind the blaze is investigated, officials said.
Many godowns are located in the vicinity of the company where the fire broke out, but the blaze was contained before it could spread to them, they said.
