FormerUnion minister B Janardhan Poojary today slammed senior Congress leader C M Ibrahim for his reported criticism of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and demanded that he be sacked from the post of deputychairman of Karnataka Planning Board.
Referring to Ibrahim's statement yesterday in Mysuru that the Congress government inthe state led by Siddaramaiah had not lived upto people'sexpectations, he said if Ibrahim did not resign on his own, the Chief Minister should sack him from the cabinet rank post.
Ibrahim, who had followed Siddaramaiah to join the Congress after quitting the Janata Dal (S), had also eulogised former Prime Minister H D DeveGowda of JDS and should be removed from his post that carried a cabinetrank, Poojary said.
Poojary, a senior Congress leader, alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to destabilise the Congress government in the state by Gowda and his followers.
He wanted Siddaramaiah to see the 'designs and motive' behind the statement of Ibrahim who praised Gowda and his style of functioning.
As chairman and deputy chairman of the state planning board, both Siddaramaiah and Ibrahim should able to put in jointefforts for the development of the state, Poojary said.
Ibrahim's remarks indicated that the two leaders disagreed on the way in which the state'sadministration was being run, he said.
