A poll released today says Bachelet's approval rating fell five percentage points to 39 percent in February from 44 percent in January.
The survey was carried out by local polling firm Gfk Adimark, which polled 1, 097 people between Feb. 2 and Feb. 25. It has an error margin of three percentage points.
A prosecutor is investigating whether Bachelet's son, Sebastian Davalos, and his wife got privileged access to a $10 million loan to buy land they later sold for about $15 million. The loan was approved a day after Bachelet was elected president in December 2013.
