"We have requested him to come down here and give his views on the case. He will just brief the investigating officer (IO) about the case," said Odisha Vigilance Director K B Singh here today.
Mishra, who had served as the DG of Odisha police from April 2012 to May 2014, has been summoned through the Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami to appear before the vigilance DSP M Radhakrishnan here on December 4.
Mishra however, has challenged Odisha government's action and has moved the state High Court urging it to quash the vigilance FIR and stay the criminal proceedings against him as the FIR is an outcome of mala fide action and an abuse of judicial process. Mishra had also alleged that in an act of malice and to stop him from becoming the CBI director.
