This came in response to the submission of Tuki, who highlighted the fiscal position of the state during the meeting of chief ministers from the North East region convened by the Union Finance Ministry in New Delhi yesterday, official sources said here today.
The meeting, attended by Pranab Mukherjee, Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia and chief ministers of all the north eastern states, discussed the various grievances of the states related to the Ministry.
Tuki later called on Defence Minister A K Anthony to discuss the setting up of the National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS) at Dirang in West Kameng district.
