An autonomous institution, promoted by the state Department of Social Justice, the Park is envisaged to bring together, state, academia and civil society on a common platform on the issue of gender.
Key areas of focus of the Gender Park include training and research, culture, art, literature and media, social security and law, documentation and library, education, health and support, business and trade and productive sectors.
Mukherjee will open the Park at a function during his one-day visit, Gender Park officials here said.
