"The Prasar Bharati secretariat has intimated that the Prasar Bharati board has constituted a committee for reviewing programme content on its various channels," Minister of State in the Information and Broadcasting ministry C M Jatua told Lok Sabha in response to a query.
"One of the mandates of this committee is to review the existing fee structures of various categories of radio and television artists," he said.
Responding to another question, Jatua said Prasar Bharati had from April 2009 to March 2012 paid an amount of Rs 1.60 crore plus service tax per annum for carrying out Television Rating Points (TRPs) for Doordarshan channels.
