The President, who arrived here after a five-day visit to Russia, sent a message to state Governor N N Vohra expressing his condolence over the tragic bus accident.
Mukherjee said in his message, "I am saddened to learn that a bus carrying passengers met with an accident today in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir leading to the loss of lives and injury to many. I understand relief operations are currently underway.
As many as 21 people were killed and at least 30 others were injured, six of them critically, when a bus they were travelling in rolled down into a deep gorge in Latti area of Udhampur district today.
