"On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend warm greetings and congratulations to Your Highness and the people of the State of Qatar on the occasion of the anniversary of Your Highness's accession," Mukherjee said in the message, released by his office.
The President said historical and friendly relations between the two countries are deeply rooted in millennia-old cultural, religious and economic ties, characterised by extensive people-to-people contacts.
"I take this opportunity to convey to Your Highness my best wishes for your personal good health and well-being and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the State of Qatar," he said.
