Mukherjee, also the supreme commander of the Indian Armed forces, "will be awarding the Prestigious President's Standard and Colours to 125 Helicopter Squadron and Mechanical Training Institute, respectively," during a ceremonial parade scheduled at the IAF station on Friday, a PIB (Defence) release said.
Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Edappady K Palaniswami, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa and many others were scheduled to participate in the event, it said.
A demonstration of precision drill by Air Warrior Drill Team (AWDT) and an aerobatic display by Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team (SKAT), besides fly Past by Mi-17 and Mi-35 helicopters, Pilatus and Kiran trainer aircraft were also scheduled, the release added.
