Prez greets people, govt of UAE on their national day

President Pranab Mukherjee today extended greetings to the people and the government of the UAE on the eve of their national day and expressed the hope that the two countries will work closely to further expand and deepen the bilateral relations.
In his message to the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President said the successful visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the UAE in August this year has provided a "fresh impetus to our bilateral engagement and elevated it to a comprehensive strategic partnership."
"I look forward to working closely with Your Highness to further expand and deepen our bilateral relations," he said.

He said India's friendly and warm relations with the UAE were rooted in ancient trade and cultural links and nourished by people-to-people contacts and regular exchange of high-level visits.
