The President of a primary school was arrested today while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000, an ACB official said.
Balaji Sampat Bhosle (38), President of Chhatrapati Shivaji Primary School in Osmanabad, about 400km from here, had demanded Rs 60,000 in bribe from a complainant for issuing two school leaving certificates, he said.
The complainant, who had applied for school leaving certificate for his daughter and son, agreed to pay the amount and at the same time lodged a complaint with Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
The anti-graft agency laid a trap and arrested Bhosle while accepting the first instalment of Rs 15,000, the official added.
