Principal, teacher injured in attack by youths

The principal and a teacher of a school here were injured after a youth attacked them for asking his sisters to attend the Bihar Foundation Day function.
The incident took place in National High School located in the Line area of Kisanganj town.
Sub Divisional Police Officer Kamini Bala said as per the complaint lodged by the school authorities, a youth identified as Faizan Mushtafa, accompanied by some friends, attacked Principal Mazrul Haque and a teacher Mohammad Mubsir Hussain with a knife and sticks for summoning his sister to the school for the Foundation Day function.
The Principal tried to reason with the youth saying all students of the school have been asked to attend the function, but it did not calm Faizan and his friends, who severely beat up the two teachers, the SDPO said.

The injured teachers have been admitted to the sadar hospital and a search was on to trace the attackers, Bala said.
