The district prison authorities have sent a proposal to jail headquarters today, to shift two of the main accused women in the RTI activist Shehla Masood murder case, to some other jail due to their bad behaviour with fellow inmates.
"We have sent a proposal to jail headquarters to shift Zahida Pervez and Saba Faruqui, who are both accused in the Shehla murder case to some other prison since their behaviour with other inmates is very bad and they have violated discipline at least 15 times so far," District Jail Superintendent Shefali Tiwari told PTI.
"Whatever punishment has been given to them as per the jail manual for violating discipline had no effect on both of them and therefore, we have written to headquarters to shift them to some other jail," she said.
Recently both of them allegedly beat and tried to strangulate an inmate called Simran (18) after entering her barrack.
"We have banned them from meeting anyone for a month as per the jail manual," she said.
Both of them are among the five accused in the RTI activist's murder case.
Zahida allegedly conspired to kill Shehla after she became jealous of her growing closeness with the former BJP MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh.
Shehla was shot dead on August 16, 2011, in front of her house.
