Wentworth Miller, who is reprising his role of Michael Scofield in the revival of "Prison Break", is glad that most of the old cast is returning for the season five.
The show, which ended its four season run with Michael's death, will reveal how he survived and has been in a Middle Eastern jail all this while.
"'Prison Break' was a very pivotal and rewarding chapter in my own personal development. This resurrection came to be because Dominic Purcell and I wound up working together on another show, playing completely different characters. It's not just about breaking out of the prison, that's the beginning of the story.
"The goal is to break out of the country itself and out of the entire Middle East. It feels like it's happening out there in the world today. At the same time, it's a continuation of the same themes that worked so well the first time around. Family, sacrifice, loyalty and brotherhood," Miller told FoxStar.
The actor says his chemistry with Purcell, who plays his onscreen brother on the show, is at the heart of the story.
"Lincoln and Michael are the heart of the show. They always have been. And it's one of the things the fans can look forward to, is their reunion."
Talking about creator Paul Schering, Miller said, "We've got Paul Schering who is spearheading this new 9 episode and he originated the show so it's got his tone. It is great that we have so many of the old cast back, because it's one more thing for the fans to look forward."
"Prison Break" season 5 airs from April 8 onwards at 9 PM every Saturday on Star World and Star World HD in India.
