Prisoner ends life in Mangaluru district jail

A 38-year-old undertrial lodged in the district prison here allegedly committed suicide inside the jail premises today, police said.
The deceased identified as Keshav Gowda fromVittal was found hanging from the grill of the window in the jail, using a piece ofcloth.
He was arrested in connection with a rape case, in March this year.
The hearing of the case is underway, theysaid.
