Constables Manga Singh and Tejpal Singh were escorting Raj to a court in Hathras yesterday. While he was being taken back to Aligarh district jail, he jumped off the bus near Rathi hospital under Sasni Gate police station area and fled, sources said.
A case was registered and a hunt has been launched to nab him, a police officer said, adding that the constables has been suspended.
