Private buses to be off roads in Kerala from Jan 29

Private bus operators in Kerala today threatened to go on indefinite strike from January 29 if their demand for raising bus fares was not favourably considered by the government.
The bus operators confederation has called for the strike demanding, among other things, to raise bus fares on the basis of fuel price hike.
Transport Minister, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has called for a meeting of bus operators on January 27 and if no favourable decision was taken, the confederation will go ahead with the strike, confederation sources said.
