Pro Kabaddi team U Mumba has joined hands with People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to support a campaign to encourage adoption of homeless dogs.
The team posed for a print campaign for PETA India with canine pals Reagan and Jack - who are available for adoption from The Welfare of Stray Dogs.
"To adopt animals is a very good thing. I am from a rural area, where there are many stray dogs", said U Mumba player Anup Kumar.
"The people who get the dogs sterilised are doing good work, and this is essential to control the population of dogs", added another U Mumba player Rishank Devadiga.
"Dogs on the streets suffer from many diseases, and no one takes care of them. So yes, sterilisation is a must.
