The leader was speaking at the programme held here yesterday to mark world Tribals Day organised by the All India Adiwasi Employees Federation.
He further said that the government should not however succumb to such pressures and should work towards safeguarding the rights of tribals.
Former MP from Gadchiroli Marotrao Kowase addressing the gathering said that actual fact, history of tribals has not been brought forward by the authors and historians and that students and intellectuals from the tribal community should bring out the right history.
Besides the key speakers, Registrar of Gondwana University Dr Vinayak Irpate, in-charge CEO Zilla Parishad Prabhu Rajgadkar, social workers Dewaji Tofa, senior Congress leader Sitaram Taram and others were also present at the programme.
