Prohibitory orders in Mathura

In view of the Lekhpal recruitment examination to be held on September 13, the district administration has imposed prohibitory orders from today banning the gathering of people in the district.
"The prohibitory orders, under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) would remain in force till the evening of September 13, when competitive examination for Lekhpal would conclude," ADM Dhirednra Pratap Singh said.
The administration has also clamped prohibitory orders, under Section 144 in the Nagar Palika areas of Mathura and Vrindaban from today due to on-going anti-encroachment drive.
"The orders would remain in force till September 25," City Magistrate Vijai Kumar said.
