Ramesh Khinchad, who is associated with a property dealer located at Shastri Nagar 'G' sector was at his office when the incident happened, officers said.
"As soon as he came out of his office, some persons waiting in a car, pounced on him and pushed him in the car.
"Ramesh's car was also badly damaged and shots were fired in the air," they said.
After pushing him in the car, the goons sped away and beat him up badly before letting him off on the outskirts of the city on the Jodhpur-Jaisalmer Highway, police said adding that the property dealer was attacked with a sword.
