In his budgetary speech, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had proposed two elevated BRT corridors, one from Anand Vihar Terminal to Peeragrahi (East-West corridor -- 29 kms) and another from Wazirabad to IGI Airport (North-South corridor -- 24 kms).
During the meeting, officials from transport department and traffic planning body, Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning & Engineering) Centre (UTTIPEC), deliberated on the two elevated BRT corridors.
A senior government official said a presentation was made on the projects. Now the UTTIPEC will seek views of other agencies like Delhi Police and the land owning agency like Delhi Development Authority and if it deems fit, it could make suggestions to amend the plan.
