Making his submission before special judge V V Virkar, the Special Public Prosecutor said that the accused moved applications for discharge from the case, to delay the legal process.
When the court was debating a discharge application filed by the arrested Deputy Municipal Commissioner Srikant Sarmokdam, the counsel for NCP corporator Hira Patil informed the court that a discharge application has been on behalf of the client.
He said that he would not be surprised if more such applications for discharge are moved by the accused one by one.
Meanwhile three other applications were also moved in the court in which one of the accused sought permission to go on a pilgrimage to Ajmer.
After hearing all the three applications, the court suggested that they submit the same with proper information as well as specific details.
The court has fixed the next date of hearing on August 3, 2015.
