Prosecutor Chandra Prakash Meena died of a stroke, doctors told his colleagues.
Meena, who got married two years ago and has an infant daughter, had earlier practiced in Rajasthan courts for some time. He was appointed a public prosecutor in Delhi 10 days ago.
Meena, who was working in the office of chief prosecutor (north district), suddenly collapsed in the gallery as he came out of a court room after attending a case.
