Several workers of Pathik Sena led by national President Mukhiya Gurjar staged a protest at the district collectorate alleging that no developmental work is being undertaken in the districts of western UP.
"Western UP districts are being neglected by the state government and no development work is being undertaken here. Several districts in eastern UP are witnessing development at our cost," Gurjar said while addressing a huge crowd of protesting workers and villagers.
The state government must accede to our demand for bifurcation, he added.
Heavy police force was deployed in apprehension of any law and order problem at the protest venue which saw participation of many villagers from western UP.
