Protest rock Jammu over power crisis

Protesting over power crisis to their areas, a large number of locals today held demonstrations and blocked a few roads in the region.
Over 300 people assembled on Gomanhasa road in the city and held demonstrations against the State Power Department over the power crisis.
Raising anti-government slogans, they blocked the road and demanded repair of a transformer, which had suffered damage due to overdrawing of power a few days ago.
The authorities later promised that the transformer will be repaired at the earliest and the power supply restored in the area.
In another protest, people in Nagrota blocked the highway for over an hour in protest of the erratic power supply to the area housing over 2000 families.

They raised anti-government slogans and demanded immediate repairing of the transformer and restoration of the power supply.
The protests were also held in Bohri and Narwal areas.
