Addressing programmes of 'UP Skill Development Mission' and 'Bharat Abhyudya Foundation' (BAF) Akhilesh said the government was making all efforts to provide employment opportunities to the youths in the state.
Akhilesh said that if employment opportunities were not provided to the youth and they were not made skilled in the next 10 years, it could prove harmful for the development of the state and the country.
He expressed happiness that private sector was associating with the mission under which job oriented training has been imparted to around one lakh youths and women in the age group of 14 to 35 years.
Referring to letters written to him by the students, the chief minister said, several useful suggestions were received for the betterment of the state and that the students attracted the attention of the government towards problems being faced in studies on which action was being taken.
He also distributed appointment letters to 100 women trained under state mission and released the document of its UP Skill Development Mission.
Akhilesh also launched a website 'www.Lifeset.Net', prepared by BAF to guide youths in getting jobs and released its booklet, 'My School, My Voice'.
He signed an MoU with nine companies under which it has been planned to train and provide employment to 60,000 youths in the next five years.
Appreciating the works of BAF and the mission, he said, both the organisations were promoting youths to become self-reliant.
Referring to large youth population of the state, he said that it was necessary to make them skilled at the earliest so that they could make "creative contribution for the betterment of the society".
