'Public curfew' affects normal life in Manipur

Normal life in Imphal valley was affected today in the 'public curfew' called by Joint Committee of Inner Line Permit System (JCILP) for the implementation of ILP in Manipur.
Business establishment, passenger services, including inter-state travels, and government offices remained close as a result of the 'public curfew'.
Volunteers and protesters came out in large number and enforced the "curfew" at various localities of the state to enforce the strike.
Manipur police picking up some bandh enforcers, who were later allowed to go, incidents of blocking of roads at important crossings were also reported.
