Sidhu paid a surprise visit to the health directorate after receiving complaints about the tardy way in which files related to various works in all the sections and branches of the health department, an official spokesman said.
Sidhu visited every section of the department and also met the director and other officers there, the spokesman added.
The CPS said a special camp would be organised next week in the health directorate where on the spot disposal of files would be ensured and added that she would be personally present during the camp.
Sidhu also said she would be personally monitoring the movement and disposal of the files regularly.
