In the first phase, the dharna will begin from Ropar and culminate at Barnala on February 28, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Partap Singh Bajwa said today.
Addressing Congress workers sitting on a relay hunger strike at Congress Bhawan here to press for the demand of CBI probe, Bajwa said after consultation with the senior party leaders, it has been decided to hold dharnas and silent marches at all district headquarters.
He claimed that the hunger strike that started on January 19 had received tremendous response from all constituencies.
The SAD-BJP government is arrogant and irresponsible and showing no accountability towards the people of the state, Bajwa alleged.
He alleged Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia were responsible for shielding the drug mafia.
