Punjab govt cautions against fraudulent recruitment ads

In a statement here, Education Minister Sikander Singh Maluka said such advertisements had come to his notice and he had already directed police to arrest people who were duping unemployed youth on the name of getting them recruited for certain posts in the education department.

These advertisement seek applications or sell forms for vacancies that do not occur in the department, he said, adding that call for posts would be advertised on the official website whenever there is a requirement.

Meanwhile, one person who was allegedly cheating prospective candidates through such advertisements has been held, police said.
