Punjab govt to receive leave applications of IAS & PCS through

Punjab Government today decided to receive application for casual leaves of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officers through e-mail.
"In those cases where permission from Chief Secretary is mandatory for taking casual leave, they should ensure that the concerned officers send their request for casual leave on Chief Secretaries' official email id cs@punjabmail.Gov.In," an official release said here.
The leave application "should be send in the mail body of email message", it stated and clarified that in future there is no need to send a physical/hard copy of the leave application.
