Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that the state has no role in the pollution in the national capital.
"Punjab has no role in environment pollution in Delhi," he said.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi has "miserably failed" on all fronts and now they were trying to shift the onus of their non performance on others, he said while refuting charges that stubble burning in Punjab is one of the reason for pollution in Delhi.
Seeking resignation of Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal, Badal categorically said that any Chief Minister who fails to discharge his duties has no moral right to remain in office.
Reiterating the commitment of his government to maintain peace and communal harmony in the state, he said that no one would be allowed to disturb the hard earned peace in the state.
On the sidelines of his Sangat Darshan programme here, on proposed 'Sarbat Khalsa' (congregation of Sikh) at Talwandi Sabo on November 10, he said that it was the bounden duty of the state government to maintain peace, communal harmony and brotherhood in the state at every cost.
He said the state government was keeping a strict vigil over the entire situation and none would be allowed to take law into their own hands.
Badal said his government has entirely focused on development during its rule.
"With unstinted support and cooperation of people if Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BJP alliance is again voted to power after 2017 assembly polls, it would usher a new era of development of the state and prosperity of its people," he said.
