At a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, nod was given for the proposed "C V Raman University" which will be financed by All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology, Brajesh Mehrotra, Principal Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat Department, told reporters here.
He said the proposed university will come up in Bhagwanpur block of Vaishali and the cabinet has given its go-ahead for running the university out of a rented building for a period of two years.
Nod was also given for handing over of more than five acres of land in Aurangabad district to the National Highway Authority of India for the six-laning of NH-2, Mehrotra said adding that no charges will be levied by the state government for the land transfer.
