Qamar Ali Akhoon is advisor to Chief Minister Omar

Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed Kargil MLA Qamar Ali Akhoon as advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah with the status of a Cabinet Minister.
The order for Akhoon's appointment was issued last evening, an official spokesman said.
Akhoon was dropped from the Council of Ministers in January this year in the first reshuffle in the National Conference-Congress government.
