The state-run airline says QR708 landed yesterday at Lajes Field on the Azores island of Terceira in the Atlantic Ocean.
The airline says the flight diverted over a passenger suffering a heart attack and that the plane experienced "moderate to severe turbulence" during the landing.
Anjali Sarker, a Bangladeshi passenger onboard, told The Associated Press today she and others hurt themselves when the Boeing 777-300 sharply plummeted at one point.
The airline did not say how many people were injured in the turbulence and how many passengers and crew were onboard. It says another plane had been sent to take passengers to Doha.
