Quack doctor beaten up for sexually assaulting Class XII girl

A quack doctor was beaten up by residents for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a Class XII student in Darhyal town of Uttar Pradesh's Rampur district, police said today.
According to a complaint filed by the girl's family, the accused, Riazul, kidnapped the girl yesterday when she was on her way to school and took her on his motorbike to Kashipur, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Later, the accused left the girl near Rampur-Dhamman village in an unconscious state. Locals rescued the girl and took her to her house, police said.
Angry with the incident, the girl's neighbours and relatives nabbed the accused and beaten him up. Riazul, however, managed to flee the area.

Circle Inspector of Police Heera Singh said a medical examination had been conducted on the girl. Police personnel has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order, he said, adding that the accused would be arrested soon.
