According to officials, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has given a list of materials required for relief to Delhi government.
"As per the requirement, we need to arrange 50,000 tents for 40 persons, 50,000 tents for 20-30 persons, 2,00,000 tents for 10-12 persons each and 50 tonnes of dry food," an official said.
Considering the high volume of items required, government has decided to set up a donation camp for collection of materials at Chhatrasal Stadium in Model Town.
Disaster Management Helpline 1077 will work as overall helpline for a person willing to donate. For every receipt a computerized receipt will be issued and the donation list will also be uploaded on Revenue Department website www.Revenue.Delhi.Gov.In.
The collection centre will run under the supervision of an Executive Magistrate.
Meanwhile, Department of health today instructed all government and private hospitals, including nursing homes to provide free of cost treatment to victims in case of natural calamities and disasters.
"No hospital/nursing home shall refuse to provide medical treatment for any reason," states the circular.
