Two BJP corporators from here have donated their three month's honorarium for providing relief to the people of quake-hit Nepal.
Draupdi Nilesh Choudhary (Ward 81) and and Deepak Jain 'Teenu' (Ward 6) have today given Rs 21,000 each -- equal to their three month's honorarium to the district collector P Narhari, a senior official from district administration said.
The duo said they were highly motivated by the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended help to the Himalayan nation and therefore they decided to make a little contribution from their side.
Humanitarian efforts have poured in from all parts of the world, from the day the 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, killing over 6,300 people.
