During a routine vehicle check, police last night found Murugesan, working in a quarry in Nadupatty, carrying 296 gelatin sticks and 130 electric detonators, meant for use in the quarry, they said.
He was arrested under the Explosives Act and produced in a court and remanded to judicial custody.
