R'sthan CM announces two new highways in state

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today announced that two new highways would come up on Nagaur-Pilani and Chaksu-Phalodi routes to get connected to Delhi and to boost tourism in the state.
One new national highway would be constructed on Nagaur to Pilani via Tarnau-Jayal-Deedwana-Salasar-Laxmangarh- Jhunjhunu, and another on Chaksu to Phalodi via Dudu-Sambhar-Makrana-Khatu would come up to boost tourism and for connectivity to Delhi, Raje said while launching II phase of water supply project in Nagaur district.
A new office of Additional Superintendent of Police would be set up in Merta City, she said, adding vacant posts of constable would be filled up in Nagaur for which the recruitment was completed.
A sum of Rs.48 cr would be spent on missing road links to strenthen road net work in Nagaur district, she said, adding other road routes and mega highways would also be taken up for completion.
A financial outlay of Rs.63 cr would be spent on power availability in villages of Nagaur district under Deendayal Gram Jyoti scheme, she said.
A four lane cement road at a cost of Rs.13 cr would also be built in Merta City, Raje said, adding a bypass on NH 65 connecting Nagaur would also be built at a cost of Rs.160 cr.
Earlier in the day Chief Minister launch the second phase of Rs 1,500 crore water supply project in Nagaur district.
The Chief Minister also dedicate Phase I of this scheme, which was started in 2006, for Nawa city and is completed now and catering water needs of 100 villages. The second phase of 'Surface water source supply project' will be completedby April 2018.
Rajasthan Water Resource and PHED Minister Mrs Kiran Maheshwari also disclosed the salient features of projects during the function.
