Rachel Bilson names daughter Briar Rose after Disney character
The 34-year-old "Hart of Dixie" star, who welcomed Rose with partner Christensen in October last year, is such a fan of the company's films that she could not resist but name her little girl after one of her favourite characters.
"There's a Disney reference there I suppose. The original Sleeping Beauty is called Briar Rose. Rachel - we both love Disney - but Rachel especially was very keen on the name," Christensen said.
"Sleeping Beauty" (1959) was animated musical fantasy film about Aurora/Briar Rose, the Sleeping Beauty, the princess that filled the lives of her parents with sunshine, and the love interest of Prince Phillip. Actress Mary Costa played the character.
