Congress president Rahul Gandhi will be addressing a public rally in Dungarpur district's Sagwara area in Rajasthan on Friday.
"People are excited about Gandhi's proposed rally. Lakhs of people would be attending the public meeting. Preparations are on in full swing," the party's state president Sachin Pilot said.
This will be Gandhi's first public meeting in the state after he launched the party's election campaign in Jaipur in August. After the visit to Dungarpur, which is a tribal area, the party president will have visit the state again in October and the venue would be decided later.
Pilot said Rahul will visit the state several times ahead of the elections. Assembly elections in the BJP-ruled state is due later this year.
