"It was on the issue of inflation and corruption on which this government came to power...It is their responsibility to control prices", Gandhi told reporters here.
"The prices are not coming down... The price of vegetables has gone up....It is their responsibility to control prices", he said.
On Deputy Chief Minister of Goa, Francis D'Souza's remark on India being a "Hindu rashtra", Gandhi said there is no difference between BJP and Shiv Sena, and alleged that both "are working to divide the country."
Gandhi also visited different villages including where from Congress got maximum votes in Dalilpur.
Arriving from Lucknow by road, he drove to Babupur Sarraiya village in Jagdishpur Block, Gauri Dubey Kar Purva in Jamo Block and Bansi Thauri in Naseerabad Block, villages where Congress got maximum number of votes and promised installation of water tanks run by solar power in two of them.
Gandhi also visited the house of Congress leader Jang Bahadur Singh at Gaura in Gauriganj assembly segment to condole the death of his son Daddan Singh who was killed on June 14.
Gandhi would leave for Delhi tomorrow morning after a night halt at the Munshiganj guesthouse, his representative Chandra Kant Dubey said.
Rahul defeated his nearest rival BJP's Smriti Irani from the constituency.
This is his second visit to Amethi after parliamentary polls in which the party managed to retain only Amethi and Rae Bareli seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier, he had visited the constituency on May 21 along with sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
