Days after Digital India's launch Rahul meets internet entrepreneurs, business leaders

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today met a group of internet entrepreneurs and business leaders to discuss the "challenges and opportunities that lie ahead" and hailed the spirit of innovation demonstrated by them.

After the meeting, Gandhi said simple innovations are transforming the experience of ordinary people, be it in healthcare or financial services.

"Enjoyed meeting internet entrepreneurs and business leaders to discuss challenges and opportunities that lie ahead," Gandhi said on Twitter.

"Simple innovations are transforming experience of ordinary people, be it in healthcare or financial services, while enhancing transparency.

"The spirit of innovation demonstrated by this generation of entrepreneurs is truly exciting and must be applauded," he said in a series of tweets after the meeting.

Gandhi's meeting with internet entrepreneurs and business leaders came close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi launching the 'Digital India' campaign.
