Assistant loco driver J P Gupta Adra division and a retired railway employee were arrested from a lodge in Jagacha area of Howrah district by Railway Vigilance personnel and the police, chief public relations officer, South Eastern Railway Soumitra Majumdar said.
Two others were also arrested while 40 to 50 examinees were detained and handed over to the police.
Rs 4.63 lakh unaccounted money, 71 mobile phones, tablets, a fax and xerox machine and a laptop were seized from the locomotive driver and the railway employee, Majumdar said.
Railway officials said the examination would be held according to schedule tomorrow with as many as 80,000 examinees set to appear in 48 centres in Kolkata.
